Thailand has been rising up as one of the premiere tourist attractions not just in the Asia Pacific Region but among the top destinations in the world for international tourists. For those who haven’t noticed, yet, Thailand has been dominating the tourism competition in the Asia Pacific Region alone as the tourism industry within the kingdom has continued to blossom as of late and this continuous surge can be associated with the mere fact that there has been a significant increase in the number of foreign nationals who are visiting various cities in Thailand during the last several months. In fact, Thailand, as a whole, has been able to welcome a record number of international tourists for the first 6 months of 2017 and majority of the said number of tourists is from neighbouring Asian countries like Vietnam, China and even Korea. In addition to this, the officials from the Tourism Authority of Thailand or TAT have reported a very big increase in the money spent by international tourists on various tourism-related services such as an accommodation at a townhome Ratchapruk which can be a chosen option by those who want an extra special vacation stay, people like the former US President Barack Obama who is currently enjoying his retirement from the White House.
To push for more women who will visit the Kingdom of Thailand for tourism purposes, various celebrities from all over the world including South Korean star So-Hyun Kim, Indian actress Tanya Sharma, beauty queens of different countries including the Philippines’ very own Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, have recently gathered in Bangkok for the Women’s Journey Thailand 2017 edition. The goal of this specific project which has been running for 2 years now is simple: attract more women travellers to visit and enjoy the unique beauty and the vast culture of the country aside from the awesome tourist attractions that are being flocked by tourists especially during peak seasons. According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, they want more women to visit Thailand and enjoy their tourism services such as a stay at a townhome Ratchapruk because women do matter in Thailand.
